Many of us go into business for various reasons some of which are, wanting to be independent, to stop the rat race of 9 to 5 daily, to be able to make cool cash and many other reasons. Do you know that all the aforementioned and any other reasons that may prompt you into starting a business are secondary? yes, they are. As an entrepreneur, your only focus should be on ADDING VALUE. It is the most important task that should be your focus and if it is done right, every other good things shall follow. That’s it. That’s your task. Create value. Then create more. And then never stop. Everything else is secondary, and everything else must follow behind.
# Avoid tasks that are not related to value creation
For example, the time you spend in responding to email, balancing the book, switching to the perfect TV stations, managing outsourced subcontractors etc add little or no value.Although these things are important but there is nothing there that creates value.
# Stop Chasing of Money
We are all given the notion that revenue is the fuel that powers a business. This is a statement of fact. But instead of asking or worrying about “How do i get revenue?” entrepreneurs should ask “How much value do i create?” focus on value creation because it is the only way or path to long-term success in business.
Finally, all successful entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Jack, Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Mark etc have one thing in common which is VALUE creation because their successes in their chosen fields depended and still depends of value they constantly create.
